Carmex® lip balm was invented in 1937 by Alfred Woelbing, literally on the family stovetop. For the next 20 years, Alfred and his wife made Carmex by hand and poured it into the familiar yellow-capped jars. Eventually production moved out of the Woelbing home and into a rented facility in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where it remained until the move in 1975 to its current site in Franklin, Wisconsin.

Carma Labs employs about 100 people and is still owned and operated by the family: Alfred's grandsons Erik and Paul Woelbing.

I have always loved Carmex it is a well known name in our house and was when I was growing up. Anytime someone would complain of chapped lip's or cold sores we would say you need Carmex.

I am positive everyone in my family has a jar of it in there purse or car.

I was very excited to find out Carmex came out with a skincare line and very anxious to try it because I suffer from dry cracked skin and since their lip balm works so well i knew i couldn't go wrong. My favorite of the two is the healing cream because it is thicker and protects my skin longer my hands get very dry and crack and sometimes bleed during the fall/winter months and since using the cream and lotion I have noticed a huge difference. I really love to healing aspect of this lotion most lotions don't have that and only act as a barrier Carmex's lotion and cream heals and protects. Another thing I loved about these is that they absorb fast and aren't greasy.

 

 

Carmex was kind enough to send me a huge kit of their products to try in a very cute makeup bag! It came with Carmex healing lotion and cream, Carmex moisture plus sticks and a flavored collection of there lip balm in tubes and jars. ARV of 52.32!
