Kitchen Islands

 

Something I have always wanted but never had a big enough space to own is a kitchen island, There is just something about them that I love. Cymax Stores has tons of different Kitchen Island designs  to choose from.I would love to own a  Kitchen Islands with breakfast bar, Like I said before I love multifunctional furniture because you can do alot more with a little bit of space. The Home styles stainless steel Kitchen island has alot of different functions it has a breakfast bar, lots of drawers and cabinets for organization, a spice rack and even a towel holder. I think my favorite part about it is that is in casters so you can move it wherever you would like in a smaller kitchen it would be ideal so you can move it out of the way when not in use.

 

And the perfect Kitchen Island wouldn't be complete without a Custom made cutting board from John Boos. This one has stainless steel feet which i think would look great with the kitchen island pictured above. I seem  to go through a new cutting board every few months and have now realized i need to spend the extra money to buy a quality one to last years.

 

All the furniture posts I have been writing have really got me thinking about my furniture. I am frugal shopper but have realized with furniture cheaper isn't always better Ive had to replace quite a few things because they just don't hold up but looking through Cymax site Ive found I can get quality furniture and not have to pay a fortune. I hope I have in some way inspired you too.

           Ive known the Zippo name almost my whole life because of there awesome collectible lighters (yes i used to collect them) Anyways I'm sure when you think of Zippo you think of there classic flip top lighters with awesome designs.. well they have so much more that I have recently become aware of.  Like these stylish candle lighters that come in 7 different designs.

 

I received the patriotic candle lighter to review that is perfect for the upcoming holidays like Memorial day and the 4th of July, I loved how it comes in a neat little box almost like a purse and it was pre-filled i didn't have to fill it before trying it out. It did take me a minute to figure out the child safety lock you have to push the button first then flip the switch to light it. I'm glad it took me a while to figure out because my children are smart and if it was easy for me then it would be easy for them. I keep it put up high anyways but its still nice to know they wont be able to light it. Another of my favorite features is the flame dial so you can adjust the size flame you need for what your using it for.  I cant wait to use it to light the grill tomorrow it will be so much easier than matches that always blow out before it lights. There are so many different things you can use it for.

Bunk Beds

          

                   My son has been bugging me forever for a bunk bed, 3 years ago he asked for one but I still thought he was too young for one but now he is 7 and old enough and responsible enough to sleep in one. I know my ways of logic are probably different than all of yours but being a mom I always think of the worst things that can happen first haha. Anyways I have been doing alot of searching around for childrens bunk beds and I am amazed at the selection of them.. When i was little we pretty much had two choices wood or metal but nowadays there are so many different styles and functions to them. Like this really cool camouflage loft bed with slide. I think this would be an awesome bunk bed for my son.

I'm still deciding on what type to get Ive been looking into L shaped bunk beds because of their functionality. Alot of them have desks and drawers which would be great for organization. This one I found that I fell in love with has stairs that are drawers! I know my daughter would love a bed like this when shes a little older I still think a three year old is to young to have access to a top bunk especially my daredevil daughter haha. 

                  Or should I look into A twin over full bunk bed for when they have friends over? I have alot of descions to make. I like the added bed space but they also take up more space in the room. Maybe if we move and the kids have bigger rooms. I really like this one because it has the full bed but is also multifunctional with a desk and drawers. I always love things that serve more than one purpose and make living in a smaller space a little bit easier.

Like I said there are so many different types and styles it is so hard to choose what would be the best for us. If you have any ideas or a bunk bed you love I would really like to hear about it. Any advice you have would really help and i hope that maybe I have given you some ideas.

     We love Dinosaur Edition Monopoly Especially my son his eyes lit up as soon as he seen it and begged and begged to play it. We usually try and play more complicated games when my 3 year old is asleep but we made an exception since she was just as thrilled to see the dinosaurs. It is a very detailed game and everything is different than the original Monopoly except for the rules so there is nothing new to learn you just play how you have been playing all along. It is educational too you learn alot about Dinosaurs I even learned a few new names you should have heard me trying to pronounce them haha it was very funny. The Dinosaur themed tokens are awesome I loved the Raptor claw and was jokingly tapping it like they do in the Jurassic park movie. We had a really great time playing Dinosaur Edition Monopoly I think I ended up winning but It didn't matter to anyone because we had so much fun. I am very pleased with the quality of the game and am happy to have it as apart of our ever growing Monopoly collection I think this is #6.
